Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Virgil Keller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Zanotto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Keller kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is War Music. Zanotto is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Ben Zanotto -by- Rancid. Ben Zanotto told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
24 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Virgil Keller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
29 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ben Zanotto!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zanotto slips under a jab from Keller.
Zanotto ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Zanotto's jab looks to have found its range, popping Keller under the eye.
Keller takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Keller throws a shot from downtown. Zanotto moves away and avoids it.
Zanotto clobbers Keller with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Zanotto misses with a straight left.
Keller lands with a nice body punch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Keller looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
It seemed like Zanotto was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Zanotto closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Keller quickly recovers to half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Zanotto throws a strike but Keller avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Zanotto stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Keller has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Zanotto manages to get his head free but now Keller has transitioned to an armbar! Zanotto grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Keller! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Virgil Keller!
An out of breath Virgil Keller thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
