Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Scot Grimes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jakub Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jakub Junior has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Scot Grimes's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Junior looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Junior is looking to work some ground and pound but Grimes has wrist control.
Junior loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Grimes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Junior on the ground.

Junior has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Junior stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Grimes swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Grimes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Junior's waist but Junior gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Grimes off to one side.
Grimes is breathing heavily.
Junior shoots for a double leg takedown but Grimes sprawls well. He's pushed Junior's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Grimes shoots in looking for a takedown. Junior tries to sprawl out of it but Grimes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Junior manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
It seemed like Junior was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Junior throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Junior stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Scot Grimes. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Junior is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Grimes looks calm but he's in trouble here. Junior gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Grimes is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Junior lets go of the hold and Grimes can pop his arm back in it's socket.
