PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Scarface (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Alvisi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alvisi has chosen AC/DC - Live Wire as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dexter Scarface!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Scott Alvisi!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scarface punishes Alvisi's body with a nice straight punch.
Scarface throws a one two combo.
Scarface lands a really nice looking cross but Alvisi seems unphased.
Scarface misses with a straight right.

Scarface shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Alvisi on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Alvisi takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Scarface fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Alvisi on the side of the head.
Scarface lands a jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Alvisi shoots in looking for a takedown but Scarface manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Alvisi's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Alvisi closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Alvisi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Scarface is fending him off so far but Alvisi persists. Nope, Scarface circles away and we're back to standing.

Scarface will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Alvisi dives in for a single leg takedown but Scarface sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Scarface scores with a crisp jab that stopped Alvisi in his tracks.

Alvisi is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Scarface is just riding it out for now. Alvisi eventually gives up the hold.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Scarface, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
