Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Richard Booth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Evc Evs!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Sergei Dronov and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evs doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Booth moves into the clinch.
Booth jumps guard but Evs turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Booth gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Evs is trying to maintain the position but Booth is very close to passing his half guard.
Booth not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Evs regains full guard. Nicely done.
Booth missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Booth wants to stand and escape but instead Evs has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Booth is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Evs working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Booth's head.
Booth keeping moving, preventing Evs from controlling successfully.
Booth will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Evs postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Evs passes into half guard.
Booth desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Evs seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Booth does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Booth is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Evs pulls his head out easily.
Booth is looking for a sweep. Evs is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Booth manages to get to full guard.
Evs tries to free his leg and advance position but Booth is retaining full guard.
Evs trying to control the position from guard on top but Booth is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Evs shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Booth pinned against the cage. Booth gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Booth could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Evs shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Richard Booth has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Evc Evs.

Booth gets a clinch.

Booth jumps guard.

Booth has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Evs can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Booth pulls Evs in close to prevent any damage.

Evs wanted to stand there but Booth had control of the position.
Booth is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Evs with a flurry of punches that miss.
Booth is trying to keep Evs in close.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Booth is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Booth is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Booth keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Booth changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Evs throws a combination that misses

and Booth counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Booth sitting in guard here, content to control.
Booth postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Booth is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Evs can do to turn this around?
Booth is looking to stand up but Evs won't let him.

Booth gets to his feet - Evs follows without any prompting.

Evs clinches up with Booth and pushes him back against the cage.
Booth fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Booth tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Evs just stands there and leans against the cage.

Booth has clasped his hands together around Evs's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Booth decides to stand up, so the ref orders Evs to his feet.

Booth tries to close the distance and clinch up but Evs swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Evs drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Booth defends it well.

Evs pushes Booth up against the cage in a clinch.

Evs wants the takedown. Booth is fighting it off but Evs persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Booth's guard against the cage.
Booth wants to stand up but Evs is controlling him.
Evs trying to control the position from guard on top but Booth is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Evs postures up in Booth's guard and throws a big left but Booth blocks it.
Booth bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Evs's guard.

Evs looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Evs is breathing heavily.

Booth throwing strikes but missing.
Booth working some strikes from top position.
Booth is looking to stand up but Evs won't let him.
Booth working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Evs's head.
Evs working a defensive guard here.
Booth postures up and lands a big shot to Evs's brow.

Booth gets to his feet. Evs looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Booth wants to clinch but Evs slips to the side
and Evs finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Evs gets tackled into the cage by Booth. Booth maintains the clinch.

Booth tries to pull guard but Evs forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Richard Booth. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Booth prevents the takedown attempt.

Booth has picked Evs up - he's going for a ride! Booth dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Evs trying to control here.

Booth decides to stand up.
Evc Evs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Evs moves into the clinch successfully.

Booth pulls guard effortlessly.
Booth looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Booth is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Evs is controlling him.

Booth wants to sweep but no luck.
Richard Booth overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Booth is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Evs presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Booth fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Evs breaks from the clinch.
No luck for Evs with that takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Evs gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Booth tries to close the distance and clinch but Evs swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Booth manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Evs on his heels. He'll look to pass Evs's guard now, I'm sure.

Booth has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Booth cracks Evs with a solid left hand.
Booth with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Booth working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Booth stands up and waves to Evs to follow him.

Evs closes the distance and pushes Booth back into the cage.
Booth is trying to pull guard but Evs turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Booth pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Evs looks for a takedown but Booth sprawls well.
Evs takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Evs thows a leg kick but Booth checks it

so Booth counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Booth postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Booth wants to stand but Evs is controlling his posture from full guard.
Booth cracks Evs with a solid left hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Evs has a closed guard, preventing Booth from standing up.

Evs escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Booth gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Booth lands a couple of digs.
Booth postures up in Evs's guard and throws a big left but Evs blocks it.

Booth stands and steps away. Evs gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Evs gets in close and instigates a clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Evs breaks from the clinch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Evs is defended easily by Booth.

Booth moves into the clinch.

Booth jumps guard and drags Evs to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Evs has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Booth is proving hard to escape from.
Booth pulls Evs in to control the position.

Evc Evs has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Richard Booth is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Booth, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
