Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Borhan Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Borhan Khan has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Borhan Khan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kevin Lee!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan misses with a body shot.
Khan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lee but Lee pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Khan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Lee misses with a wild combination.

Lee darts in and clinches Khan up against the cage.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Khan jumps guard.
Khan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Khan wants to sweep here but Lee controlling him for the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Khan controls Lee momentarily but Lee frees himself.
Khan definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Lee wants to get up but he can't break Khan's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Khan is looking for a triangle but Lee pushes his legs off easily.
Lee is looking to stand up but Khan won't let him.

Khan is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Lee stands up from Khan's guard - Lee perhaps looking for a knockout.
Lee connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Khan's hands.
Khan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lee tries to avoid it but Khan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lee to the ground. Lee escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Borhan Khan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lee lands a head shot.

Khan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Lee tries to escape but Khan is in control.

Khan is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lee is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Khan thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Lee pushes Khan away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Khan gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Khan tries to advance to mount but Lee denies him.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Lee is trying to buck Khan off.

Khan tries to move into full mount but can't pass Lee's legs.
Lee wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Khan tries to advance to mount but can't.

Khan working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Lee bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Khan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Khan tries to free his leg and advance position but Lee is retaining full guard.

Lee pushes Khan off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Khan looks for a takedown but Lee sprawls well.
Lee throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Khan stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Lee rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Khan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lee looks to land a combination but Khan avoids it well.
Lee scores with a hook to the body. Khan takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

and Lee counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Borhan Khan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Khan's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Lee connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Khan scrambles back to his feet.
Lee rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Khan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Khan appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Lee gets a clinch.

Khan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

and Lee counters with a series of strikes. Khan will be more careful next time no doubt.
Lee pounces like a tiger and cracks Khan with a vicious hook! Khan is down but not out! Lee follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
