Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Debe Emtu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Cauthon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emtu's entrance music is Fade To Black. A fine choice. Matt Cauthon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cauthon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Emtu moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Emtu gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Emtu is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Emtu is looking for a triangle but Cauthon pushes his legs off easily.

Cauthon is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cauthon wants to stand but Emtu has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Emtu has his foot on Cauthon's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cauthon works his way back into a safe position though.

Emtu working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cauthon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cauthon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Emtu might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Cauthon is looking to stand up but Emtu won't let him.

Emtu escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cauthon gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Cauthon slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Emtu looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Emtu looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Cauthon has picked Emtu up and slammed him! Emtu can't keep hold of the triangle and Cauthon manages to pass to side control!
Emtu is looking to reverse the position.

Cauthon decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Emtu throws a shot from downtown. Cauthon moves away and avoids it.

Emtu moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Cauthon is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Cauthon is trying to drag Emtu to the mat but Emtu just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Debe Emtu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Cauthon.
