The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nixon moves in looking to clinch but Joestar pushes him off.

Joestar dives in and scores a takedown into Nixon's guard.
Nixon doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Joestar controls from within his opponent's guard.
Nixon controls Joestar momentarily but Joestar frees himself.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Joestar is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Nixon as he works his way to full guard.
Nixon looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Joestar stands and throws Nixon's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Joestar slows the pace down.
Nixon is looking to regain half guard here but Joestar keeps moving and retains side control.

Joestar decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Nixon takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

It looks like Zackary Nixon has been cut.
Joestar throws a right hand that Nixon ducks under and follows up with a left that Nixon also avoids with ease.
Joseph Joestar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Joestar tries to clinch up but Nixon circles away and keeps his distance.

Nixon is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Joestar perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Oh Nixon is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
It looks like Joestar might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Joestar looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Joestar is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Nixon has managed to free his arm - good work.
Joestar uses his free foot to push down on Nixon's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Nixon.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Joestar! Nixon is hurt baaadly! Joestar is firing away with more strikes - Nixon is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
