PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tony Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sly Randolph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown comes to the cage accompanied by TNT by AC DC. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Randolph cracks the inside of Brown's front leg.

Brown feints and as Randolph raises his hands in defense, Brown changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Brown is really struggling to control Randolph but he's trying to hold on to the position.
We've been hearing good reports from Brown's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Randolph controls Brown momentarily but Brown frees himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brown stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Randolph swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Brown fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Randolph manages to avoid it.
Randolph thuds his right hand into Brown's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Brown fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Randolph avoids it really well and circles away.
Brown moves to clinch but Randolph breaks away
and Randolph counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Randolph lands a jab to Brown's midsection.

Randolph shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Randolph was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
