PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Murphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Konstantin Erokhin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Erokhin has chosen Michael Jackson Billie Jean as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murphy tries to score a power double leg takedown but Erokhin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Murphy somewhat.
A little jabbing left from Erokhin on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Murphy closes this distance looking for a takedown but Erokhin circles away.
Erokhin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Erokhin uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Murphy.

Murphy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Murphy tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Erokhin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Murphy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Erokhin has managed to get both his arms back between Murphy's legs - danger averted.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Erokhin has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Murphy is proving hard to escape from.

Murphy is adopting a defensive guard.
Murphy is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Erokhin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Murphy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Murphy seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Erokhin is trying to stand back up but Murphy is controlling him
Murphy is taking a breather. Erokhin says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Erokhin scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Murphy manages to mount him!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Erokhin's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

And that's the end of the fight!

I think Murphy has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
