Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Erik Weisz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Idol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Idol fails to land the takedown.

Weisz has Idol up against the cage in a clinch.
Idol has Weisz pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Weisz manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Come on Weisz - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Weisz manages to pull guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Idol has gone for a leg lock! Weisz slips out almost immediately though and dives into Idol's guard.

Weisz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Idol swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Weisz controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Weisz stands and steps away. Idol gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Idol stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Idol wants it to stay on the feet.
Weisz misses with a few strikes there.
Weisz tries to clinch there but Idol circles away.

Weisz forces Idol back against the cage and clinches.
Weisz manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Idol managing to block the knees to the body from Weisz.

Idol pulls Weisz into guard.

Idol looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Weisz stands and steps away. Idol gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Weisz takes the fight into the clinch.

Weisz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Idol looks for a takedown but Weisz sprawls well.
Erik Weisz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Billy Idol.
Weisz fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Idol blocks a head kick by Weisz.
A nice side step and Idol releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Weisz shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Weisz was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Weisz fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Weisz trying to control the position but Idol is working away.

Weisz tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Weisz has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Weisz tries to move into full mount but can't pass Idol's legs.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Weisz is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Idol's shoulder. That is not cool.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Idol tries to score a body lock takedown but Weisz shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Idol drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Weisz gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Idol drops back looking for a leg! Weisz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Weisz manages to kick Idol off! Idol jumps back into Weisz's guard.

Idol is breathing heavily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Idol won't allow Weisz to sweep him here.
Erik Weisz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Weisz is working hard here to advance position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Weisz drives through and clinches with Idol against the cage.

Weisz drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Weisz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Idol shoots and misses
and Weisz counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Billy Idol has been cut.
Weisz shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Idol as he jumps to the side.
Weisz connects with a combination that backs up Idol into the cage. Weisz lands a flurry of punches that gets past Idol's guard. Idol is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Weisz bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
