Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dixie Small (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Johns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dixie Small!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jimmy Johns!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Small checks the leg kick.
Johns misses with a kick to the body.
Small attempts a counter takedown but Johns avoids it well and moves away.
Johns lands with a nice body kick.
Johns misses with a low kick as Small jumps back.
Small is looking to counter punch.
We've been hearing reports that Small has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Johns does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Small clobbers Johns with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Small throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johns's waist but Johns gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Small off to one side.

Johns tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Small swivels and escapes.

Johns throws a big counter head kick but Small avoids it with no problem.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Johns has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Johns throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Johns shoots in looking for a takedown. Small tries to sprawl out of it but Johns keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Small manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Small throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Small misses with a wild body shot.
Johns only half commits to the counter leg kick.
A left lands for Small.
Johns pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Johns dives in and grabs Small's left leg, looking for a takedown. Small pushes down on Johns's head and hops out.
Dixie Small has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Johns.

Dixie Small overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Johns keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Small's head.

Johns is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Small is aware though and is defending well.
Johns is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Small tries to roll over but Johns keeps him under control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Small wants to control but Johns is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Small has his hands clasped together around Johns's back. He's all about the action.
Johns throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Small is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Jimmy Johns showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Small fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Johns to the ground. Small is now in Johns's guard.
Small distracts Johns with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Small is really struggling to control Johns but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Johns looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Small working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Johns's head.
Small is working Johns over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.


Johns is rocked!
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Small's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Johns is still in real trouble! Can Small finish him?
Small arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Johns's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Dixie Small!
A victorious Dixie Small thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
Jimmy Johns was interviewed post fight and said 'Congratulations to my very worthy opponent. Today just wasn't my day, but rest assured that I will be back stronger than ever. '.
