The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Irenicus counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Vellucci tries to clinch but Irenicus is having none of it.
The fighters circle momentarily. Irenicus darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Irenicus throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Velluccis head.

Vellucci's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Vellucci misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

That was a close round but I would say that Leo Vellucci will probably get the nod.
