Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Akeel Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sailor Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie has chosen Disciples of Power - Lords of Creation as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sailor Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lynch lands a jab to Gracie's midsection.
Akeel Lynch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lynch jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Nice straight punches there by Lynch. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Lynch.
Lynch connects with a right hand. Gracie shakes it off.
Gracie wants to clinch up but Lynch keeps it at a distance.
Lynch feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lynch gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lynch trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom.
Lynch trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Lynch postures up and lands a big shot to Gracie's brow.
Gracie is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Lynch has his hands clasped together but Gracie extends and breaks Lynch's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Gracie.
