Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lemy Waters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derrick Yeung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yeung has chosen Fluffy as his entrance music. Derrick Yeung will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lemy Waters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Derrick Yeung!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yeung leaves Waters with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Yeung is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Yeung misses with the combination.
Yeung swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Yeung shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Waters eats them both and turns towards Yeung to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Yeung misses with a double jab.
Waters looks for a takedown but Yeung sprawls well.
Yeung will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Yeung throws a jab when Waters was well out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
No joy there for Yeung, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Waters gets a takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Waters is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Yeung doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Waters.

Yeung tries to get to full guard but Waters has control of the leg.

Waters seems to be looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Waters misses with a head shot. Yeung uses the momentum to regain guard.
Yeung wants to sweep here but Waters controlling him for the moment.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Waters stops Yeung from standing up.
Waters trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Waters got a little sloppy there for a moment and Yeung has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Waters has managed to get both his arms back between Yeung's legs - danger averted.

An attempted straight right counter from Waters misses the target.
Waters looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Yeung throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Waters half committed to a counter leg kick.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Yeung enables Waters to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Yeung manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Waters wants to pass the guard but Yeung is keeping the position.

Waters chips away with some ground and pound.
Waters distracts Yeung with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Waters has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Yeung keeping moving, preventing Waters from controlling successfully.

Yeung is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

That was a close round but I would say that Lemy Waters will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Yeung throws a one two combo.
Yeung misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Yeung throws a series of strikes that have Waters backpedaling.
Waters shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Yeung defends it nicely.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Yeung, as that shot connected.
Yeung looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Waters fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Yeung to the ground. Waters is now in Yeung's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Waters prevents Yeung from getting back to his feet.

Waters drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Yeung manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Waters has Yeung in his guard.

Yeung stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Waters swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Waters looking for a guillotine here but Yeung defends easily.

Waters controls Yeung momentarily but Yeung frees himself.

Lemy Waters overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Yeung is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Yeung is working to avoid the ground and pound but Waters connects with a decent elbow.

Yeung throws Waters to one side and escapes!
Waters tries for a takedown but Yeung sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Waters looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Waters closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Waters lands in his opponent's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Yeung wants to stand up but Waters is controlling him.

A close second round but Derrick Yeung will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Yeung's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Waters connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Yeung scrambles back to his feet.
