The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holland with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Shavers to score with a decent uppercut.
Shavers scores with a decent looking hook.
Shavers throws the left hand but Holland avoids the punch easily.
Shavers throws a shot from downtown. Holland moves away and avoids it.
Holland slips a straight right by Shavers.
A jab from Shavers does it's job there.
Shavers scores with a sloppy right hand. Holland should have avoided that one.
Holland ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Holland uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Shavers.

Holland closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Shavers pushes Holland away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Holland gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Shavers is working to avoid the ground and pound but Holland connects with a decent elbow.
Shavers wants to get back to his feet but Holland is dominant here and he's now got Shavers's back!
Holland keeps control of the position easily here as Shavers tries to buck him off.
Shavers is trying to remain composed but Holland is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.
Holland has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Shavers trying to get back to his feet but Holland is in full control for now.
Holland drops a couple of huge strikes from the back position and Shavers is in real trouble here! Holland lands more strikes and the referee has to step in to end the fight! Holland is delighted!
