Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnson Tanner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vin Diesel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tanner gets tackled into the cage by Diesel. Diesel maintains the clinch.
Tanner fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Tanner tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Diesel smiles and moves away.
Tanner tries to score a power double leg takedown but Diesel sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tanner somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnson Tanner. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Diesel throws a sloppy head kick
and Tanner counters with a one-two to the body.

Diesel gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Diesel is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tanner defends well.

Tanner postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Diesel is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tanner, into his guard.

Diesel wants to control from the top but Tanner keeps moving.
Tanner really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Diesel drops back, looking for a kneebar! Tanner looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Tanner looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Tanner!

Tanner stands up and beckons Diesel to his feet.

Tanner gets caught flat footed, as Diesel shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Tanner goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Diesel has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Tanner but great work by Diesel.

Vin Diesel dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Tanner tries to clinch up but Diesel circles away and keeps his distance.
Diesel is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Diesel has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Tanner shoots for a double leg takedown but Diesel sprawls well. He's pushed Tanner's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Diesel gets to his feet and stands over Tanner, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Tanner felt that one! Diesel unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Tanner from any more punishment!
