Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Raf Rasmus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Laurent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rasmus throws a series of punches but Laurent moves out of range.
Rasmus definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Laurent fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Rasmus attempts a counter takedown but Laurent avoids it well and moves away.
Rasmus throws a body punch but Laurent moves out of range.
Rasmus finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Rasmus throws a head kick that misses

and Laurent counters with a takedown into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Laurent lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Rasmus down.
Check out the look on Laurent 's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Laurent connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Rasmus some visible discomfort.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Laurent wants to control but Rasmus is keeping him busy.

Rasmus is trying to improve his position.
Rasmus is breathing heavily.

Laurent tries for a kimura but Rasmus is defending well.
Rasmus takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Laurent has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Rasmus looks to move to half guard but instead Laurent has passed into mount! Damn!

Laurent pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Laurent can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rasmus is looking to escape.
Laurent prevents Rasmus from getting the reversal.
Laurent has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Rasmus's face.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Laurent lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Rasmus hang on?
Laurent postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Rasmus in real trouble here! The ref calls for Rasmus to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
