Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ratimir Yenin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Artem Nazarev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Nazarev's choice of entrance music: Telnyuk Sisters - Sokil/Falcon. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ratimir Yenin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Artem Nazarev!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yenin pushes Nazarev up against the cage in a clinch.
Yenin is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Nazarev to keep the fight standing.
Nazarev misses with a short punch on the inside.

Yenin decides to pull guard.

Nazarev drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nazarev jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Nazarev is pushing down on Yenin's leg trying to pass to half guard. Yenin is fighting to maintain full guard but Nazarev has managed to sneak the leg through.
Yenin is trying to get back to full guard.
Nazarev is thwarting Yenin's attempts to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nazarev is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Yenin defends it well.
Yenin is pressing down on Nazarev's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Yenin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nazarev gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Yenin is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Yenin tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Nazarev throwing strikes but missing.

Yenin is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nazarev defends well.
Nazarev is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real.
Yenin can't keep his opponent in guard - Nazarev advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Nazarev wants to work for an arm triangle but Yenin is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Nazarev is working for a submission of some sort.
Yenin is trying to maintain the position but Nazarev is very close to passing his half guard.

Yenin looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Yenin gets full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Yenin is trying to keep Nazarev in close.
Yenin avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Yenin seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Nazarev stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Yenin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Yenin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Yenin looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Yenin manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Nazarev manages to get himself to full guard.

Yenin trying to control but Nazarev is working from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Yenin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Nazarev has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Yenin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Yenin pushing down on Nazarev's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Nazarev is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Yenin pulls his head out easily.
Yenin throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Yenin wants to free his trapped foot but Nazarev is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Nazarev has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at MMA Sanok Training Center. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Nazarev actively working from the bottom here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ratimir Yenin will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Nazarev jabs Yenin to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Nazarev catches Yenin with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Ratimir Yenin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nazarev connects with a looping right hand.
Nazarev wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Nazarev cracks Yenin with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Nazarev bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Yenin's head backwards.


Yenin is rocked!


It looks like Ratimir Yenin has been cut.
Nazarev has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Yenin.
Oh Yenin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Artem Nazarev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nazarev steps in with a hook that catches Yenin right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Nazarev follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Yenin looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Artem Nazarev!
During a confident post fight interview, Artem Nazarev thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
