Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Viktor Kulakov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Grice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kulakov might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Lube-Shparu. Grice has chosen GZA - Shadowboxin' as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Gary Grice!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grice misses with an attempted mid kick.
Grice tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kulakov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Grice throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Kulakov moves out of range of the body kick.
Grice throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Kulakov keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Viktor Kulakov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kulakov takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Grice slips a straight right by Kulakov.
Kulakov sets himself, and Grice steps forward looking for the clinch! Kulakov avoids it this time.
Kulakov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Grice manages to avoid it.
Grice throws a nice inside leg kick.
Kulakov looks to throw the jab but Grice is out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Grice closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Kulakov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Grice circles away quickly and effectively.
A nice leg kick lands there from Grice.
Donk. Grice catches Kulakov right on the button with a cross.
Kulakov swings for the body but Grice moves out of range.
Kulakov misses with a few strikes there.
Grice throws a leg kick but Kulakov sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Grice takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Grice scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Grice cracks the inside of Kulakov's front leg.
Grice will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Grice throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Kulakov appears to be looking for a big counter.
Grice misses with a kick to the body.
Grice dips to his left and cracks Kulakov with an uppercut!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kulakov fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Grice stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Kulakov's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Kulakov duly obliges.
Grice throws the left hand but Kulakov avoids the punch easily.
Grice throws a sloppy head kick and Kulakov moves out of range easily.
An attempted straight right counter from Kulakov misses the target.
A big right from Kulakov misses.
Kulakov dips to his left and cracks Grice with an uppercut!
Kulakov throws a series of punches but Grice avoids them all with ease.
Kulakov misses with a few strikes there.
Kulakov throws a body punch but Grice moves out of range.
Grice tries to counter with a clinch but Kulakov shakes him off and moves away.
Grice throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Grice is looking to slow Kulakov down with leg kicks.
Grice fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Grice misses with a kick to the body.
Kulakov looks to land a left hand but Grice moved out of range nicely.
Kulakov throws a shot from downtown. Grice moves away and avoids it.

Grice walks into a jab.
Kulakov uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Grice.
Kulakov is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Grice.
Kulakov connects with a good right hand that stumbles Grice. Grice circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
That kick from Grice tenderised Kulakov's leg. Kulakov is trying to keep his angry face on.
Kulakov takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
A nice combination there by Grice.
Kulakov tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Grice was well out of range. Poor timing from Kulakov.
Sloppy strikes from Kulakov. Those never looked like landing.
Grice with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kulakov to score with a decent uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Grice takes a swing at Kulakov's ribcage but misses.
Grice tries to land a front kick but Kulakov steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
A swing and a miss from Grice.

Oooooh!!! Kulakov has knocked Grice down with a huge combo! Kulakov steps away and waves a wobbly Grice back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Grice is rocked!

Kulakov throws a jab but it's blocked by Grice.
Grice is still on wobbly legs! Can Kulakov finish him?
Grice gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Grice tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Kulakov is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Grice buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Grice!! Grice is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Kulakov throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Viktor Kulakov!
