Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Teddy Bass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gaudencio Roman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Teddy Bass has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Teddy Bass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roman buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Bass comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Roman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bass manages to avoid it.
Bass takes a swing at Roman's ribcage but misses.
Roman throws a counter combo.

Bass shoots in and gets a takedown into Roman's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bass is in close to Roman's body, working some short punches and elbows.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

A frustrated look appears on Bass's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Roman tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bass just stands there and leans against the cage.

Bass is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Roman can't fight it off and eventually Bass manages to take the fight to the floor. Roman looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Bass drops back looking for a leg! Roman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Roman manages to kick Bass off! Bass jumps back into Roman's guard.

Roman tries to get to full guard but Bass has control of the leg.

That was a close round but I would say that Teddy Bass will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Bass feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Bass is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Roman defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Bass has the hooks in. Roman is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bass, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
