Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watanabe misses with a right hand

and Carter counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Watanabe keeping full guard, as Carter tries to pass.
Carter stands up over Watanabe, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Carter is in close to Watanabe's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Carter trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carter distracts Watanabe with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Carter postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Watanabe is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Carter, into his guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Watanabe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carter swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Watanabe stops Carter from standing up.
Watanabe looking to sit in guard and control but Carter gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Carter lands a couple of elbows.
Carter scoring with some ground and pound.
Carter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Watanabe on the ground.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Carter's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Watanabe looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Carter is defending well. Watanabe quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Carter has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Watanabe celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
