PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Coy Parsons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joseph Joestar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Coy Parsons!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joseph Joestar!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Eddie Farnsworth and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Joestar drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Joestar passes Parsons's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Joestar wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Parsons uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
Joestar slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Parsons looking to hit a scissor sweep but Joestar is one step ahead there.
Parsons is working hard here to advance position.

Joestar drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Joestar jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Parsons controls Joestar momentarily but Joestar frees himself.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Joestar lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Joestar.
Joestar shoots for a takedown but Parsons saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Joestar drives through and clinches with Parsons against the cage.
Joestar has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Parsons avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Joestar turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Joestar manages to end up in side control.
Parsons isn't going anywhere.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Parsons is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Parsons tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Joestar manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Joestar fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Parsons avoids it really well and circles away.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Coy Parsons.
I think Parsons has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
