Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Goose Blue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyrell Spong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blue looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Blue wants to pass to mount but Spong is defending the position.
Spong tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Blue content to control rather than advance.
Spong is trying to get back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blue is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Spong defends it well.
Blue wants to pass to mount but Spong is defending the position.

Blue has hold of Spong's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Spong manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Spong is desperately trying to improve his position but Blue has a good base and remains in mount.

Spong wants to clinch.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Nice takedown defense from Blue. No joy for Spong on that attempt.
Blue seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Spong trying to control the position but instead, Blue has worked for underhooks and has pushed Spong into the cage.
Blue jumps guard and drags Spong to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Blue wants to get back to his feet but Spong is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Blue has Spong pulled in close to control his posture.
Spong is looking to work some ground and pound but Blue has wrist control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Blue has control of Spong's left arm, preventing Spong from doing any damage.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Blue stuffs the takedown.

Blue looks for the body kick but Spong saw that one coming.
Spong lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Spong darts in looking for a takedown but Blue gets double underhooks and turns Spong into the cage.
Goose Blue has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyrell Spong.
Spong gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Blue to score an easy takedown into full guard.
