Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Buster Cherry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Giorgio Conte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cherry comes to the cage accompanied by Irigy Hónaljmirigy - Rúgj Chuck Norris (Chuck Norris parody by Hungarians). Buster Cherry has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conte throws out a leg kick but Cherry moves out of range and Conte only half commits.
Conte explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Conte tries to bum rush Cherry with a series of wild strikes but Cherry uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Cherry dives in for a single leg takedown but Conte sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Conte moves out of range as Cherry throws a body kick.
Cherry jabs Conte to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Cherry closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Conte did well to prevent Cherry getting side control.

Cherry is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Cherry is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Conte reverses the position - he's now on top in Cherry's guard.

Conte throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Cherry counters with a nice body shot.
Conte turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Cherry uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Conte.
Cherry tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A solid leg kick lands there for Conte.
Conte tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Cherry manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Conte connects with a body shot that sends Cherry's belly button to the back.
Conte fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Cherry scores with a crisp jab that stopped Conte in his tracks.

Conte throws a right hand that Cherry ducks under and follows up with a left that Cherry also avoids with ease.

Cherry shoots in and bounces Conte off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Cherry postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Conte is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Cherry, into his guard.

Conte won't allow Cherry to sweep him here.

Cherry working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Conte doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Conte manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Cherry is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Cherry seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Conte does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Cherry is working for a kimura here but Conte manages to reverse the position and he's now in Cherry's guard.
Conte won't allow Cherry to sweep him here.

Conte got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cherry has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Conte has managed to get both his arms back between Cherry's legs - danger averted.
Cherry is looking to sweep but instead, Conte has passed into half guard.
Cherry is not content to let Conte control the position.

Cherry goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Conte turns into him and now he's in Cherry's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Conte controlling the position well here. Cherry rolled but Conte kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Buster Cherry.
