The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smaug stalks Scorpion and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Scorpion's face. Scorpion staggers backwards, shaken.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Scorpion lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Smaug circles away quickly and effectively.

Scorpion feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Smaugs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Scorpion changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smaug tries to avoid it but Scorpion manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smaug to the ground. Smaug escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Cinder Smaug has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ranky Scorpion.

Smaug lands a big head kick that sends Scorpion tumbling to the mat! Smaug takes a step backwards and waves Scorpion back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Ranky Scorpion has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Smaug takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Smaug and Scorpion are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Smaug throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Scorpion into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Smaug knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
