Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Sanford Nelson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Cameron Vince!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vince shoots for a takedown but Nelson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Vince finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Nelson really is a fat lump.
Vince shoots in for a double leg but Nelson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Nelson throws a quick counter kick to the body but Vince avoids it.
Vince wants to clinch.
Vince shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Nelson defends it nicely.
Nelson went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Sanford Nelson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cameron Vince.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vince pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Nelson tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Vince tries to land knees in the clinch but Nelson avoids the damage to the body.
A bit of stalling here from Vince.

Vince pulls Nelson into guard.
Vince will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vince is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Nelson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Vince is looking to stand up but Nelson isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Vince is looking for a triangle here but Nelson uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Vince seems a little lost for a moment, as Nelson dominates the positioning.

Nelson tries to break the clinch but Vince is controlling the position.

Nelson struggles to land a body shot inside as Vince controls his hands.

Nelson is pressed up against the cage. Vince has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Nelson down to the mat. Nelson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Nelson counters with a straight right hand.

It looks like Sanford Nelson has been cut.
Nelson leaves Vince with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Vince shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Nelson as he jumps to the side.

Vince is trying to stick to Nelson's back but Nelson is turning into Vince. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Vince's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Nelson.
