PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Carneiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dereck Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carneiro comes to the cage accompanied by The Rasmus - In the Shadows. Lewis has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carneiro shoots in looking for a takedown but Lewis manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Carneiro's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Lewis feints the counter takedown.
Carneiro throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lewis's waist but Lewis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Carneiro off to one side.
Lewis tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Carneiro shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lewis as he jumps to the side.

Carneiro tries to bum rush Lewis with a series of wild strikes but Lewis uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
