These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ki Won misses with a takedown attempt - Money sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Money steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Ki Won.

Ki Won drops back, looking for a kneebar! Money looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Money looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Money!


Ki Won sneaks out the side door and pushes Money away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

It looked like Ki Won was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Money.

Ki Won drags the fight down to the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ki Won escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Money gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Money drops back looking for a leg! Ki Won is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ki Won manages to kick Money off! Money jumps back into Ki Won's guard.

Money lands a couple of digs.

Ki Won throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Money escapes and throws Ki Won's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Cheng Ki Won overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Ki Won has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Money escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Money!

Money decides to stand back up. Money steps back and let's Ki Won get back to his feet.
Ki Won changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Money tries to avoid it but Ki Won manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Money to the ground. Money escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Money counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Money ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Money no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Ki Won throwing strikes from guard but Money blocks nicely.
Money throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Ki Won throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Money works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Money is on top in guard.

Money goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ki Won thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Cheng Ki Won.
I think Money has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
