The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Axe lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Axe tries to keep at a distance but Wakuwandi has taken the fight into the clinch.

Axe cracks Wakuwandi with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Wakuwandi scores with a head kick. Axe tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Axe fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wakuwandi manages to avoid it.

Wakuwandi rushes Axe and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Wakuwandi has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Axe is trying to keep an underhook but Wakuwandi manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Wakuwandi uses his free foot to push down on Axe's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Axe.

Axe is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
