The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDaniel closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Kondiitti is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
McDaniel knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kondiitti on the ground.
Kondiitti makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kondiitti.
Kondiitti is controlling McDaniel's posture.
Kondiitti controls McDaniel momentarily but McDaniel frees himself.
McDaniel loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Kondiitti pushes a forearm under McDaniel's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, McDaniel is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
