Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 29 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sami Vasara!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Roberts and Chad Campbell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasara attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Vasara ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jamison moves away.
Vasara is looking to clinch but Jamison is avoiding it.
Jamison drops down looking for a counter takedown but Vasara sprawls and moves away.
Jamison shoots in for a takedown but Vasara shows good takedown defense.
Jamison throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Vasara on the side of the head.

Vasara takes a swing at Jamison's ribcage but misses.

Vasara shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Vasara's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Jamison connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Vasara scrambles back to his feet.

Vasara shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Jamison wants to clinch up but Vasara keeps it at a distance.
Sami Vasara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Vasara forces Jamison back against the cage and clinches.

Jamison gets control of Vasara's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jamison will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Vasara must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Jamison wants to sweep but no luck.
Vasara is looking to stand up but Jamison won't let him.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Vasara tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jamison manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Vasara pulls Jamison in close to prevent any damage.
Jamison wants to control from the top but Vasara keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jamison pushes down on Vasara's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Jamison is looking to pass Vasara's guard but actually Vasara recovers to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jamison stands and throws Vasara's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Jamison misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Jamison is trying to move to mount but Vasara reverses beautifully and ends up in Jamison's guard.

Vasara got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jamison has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vasara has managed to get both his arms back between Jamison's legs - danger averted.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to John Jamison.
I think Jamison has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
