Thompson's corner calls for a 1-2. Thompson obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Thompson lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Paul Thompson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thompson looks to throw the jab but Magomedov is out of range.
Thompson misses with a hook
and Magomedov counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Thompson tries to lock up and control but Magomedov gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Magomedov is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Thompson is forced to tap! Great finish!
