The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hood lands a really nice looking cross but Schopenhauer seems unphased.
Hood's coach down at Highland Brawl Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hood's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Schopenhauer tries to keep at a distance but Hood has taken the fight into the clinch.

I was talking to Schopenhauer's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Schopenhauer shoots for a double leg takedown but Hood sprawls well. He's pushed Schopenhauer's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
