Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ethelbart Takahashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddy Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 36 - 16 - 0, fighting out of London, Ethelbart Takahashi!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Freddy Steel!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Paul Gruel and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takahashi with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Steel lands a left and a right that send Takahashi crashing to the mat, dazed. Steel thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Takahashi is rocked!


It looks like Ethelbart Takahashi has been cut.
Steel lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Takahashi circles away quickly and effectively.
Oh Takahashi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Takahashi circles away from the clinch attempt
and Takahashi counters with a left and a right that stings Steel.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Takahashi throws a leg kick but Steel sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Takahashi seems to have got his legs back now.
Takahashi throws a sloppy head kick and Steel moves out of range easily.
And Steel tries to counter it with a takedown but Takahashi pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Steel just misses with a punch to the body.
Donk. Takahashi catches Steel right on the button with a cross.


It looks like Freddy Steel has been cut.
Steel tries to clinch up.
It looked like Takahashi wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Steel misses with a head kick.
Steel is looking to clinch but Takahashi is avoiding it.
Takahashi swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Takahashi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Steel moves away.
Steel drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Takahashi defends it well.
Steel throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Takahashi lands a nice shot to the body.

Takahashi lands with an overhand left.
Takahashi thumps Steel with a low kick.
Takahashi tries a head kick but it misses.
Steel changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Steel instigates a clinch.
Takahashi wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Steel blocks an uppercut.
A head punch on the inside from Steel fails to land.
Takahashi swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Takahashi struggles to land a body shot inside as Steel controls his hands.
We've been informed that Steel has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Takahashi is trying to break the clinch but Steel has him pressed against the cage.
Takahashi lands a hook that snaps the head of Steel backwards.
Steel pushes Takahashi back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Steel working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Takahashi tries to work over Steel's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Steel tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Steel blocks an uppercut.

Takahashi breaks the clinch.
Steel rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Takahashi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
It appears Takahashi was looking to counter with a kick there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Steel moves into the clinch.
Steel blocks an uppercut.
Steel pushes Takahashi back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Steel prevents a body shot from Takahashi.
Takahashi throws a punch but it's blocked by Steel.
Takahashi blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Takahashi gets through Steel's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Takahashi misses with a hook to the ribs.

Takahashi lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Steel backwards.
Takahashi lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Steel.
Takahashi is trying to force a seperation but Steel has the dominant position.
Takahashi softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Steel blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Steel misses with a knee to the head.
Takahashi misses with a punch on the inside.
Takahashi goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Takahashi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That has opened up Freddy Steel's cut even more.
Steel moves out of range of the body kick.
Steel tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Takahashi moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Takahashi fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Steel has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Steel throws a right and a left that Takahashi avoids nicely.
Steel takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Steel misses with the combination.
Takahashi lands with a kick to the ribs.
Steel scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Takahashi throws a leg kick that misses.
Takahashi sets himself, and Steel steps forward looking for the clinch! Takahashi avoids it this time.
Takahashi connects with a good right hand that stumbles Steel. Steel circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ethelbart Takahashi dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Takahashi lands with a thumping leg kick.
Steel misses with a straight right.
It looked like Takahashi was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Steel.
Ethelbart Takahashi is winning the standup battle so far.
Takahashi misses with a hook. Steel ducked under it nicely.
Ethelbart Takahashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Takahashi lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Steel thows a leg kick but Takahashi checks it
and Takahashi counters with a slapping leg kick.
Steel throws a nice looking combination but Takahashi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Steel throws a right hand that Takahashi ducks under and follows up with a left that Takahashi also avoids with ease.
Takahashi swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Steel takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Steel tries to work over Takahashi's front leg with a kick but Takahashi checks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Takahashi does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Takahashi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Steel. That did some damage!
Takahashi misses the jab.
Nice uppercut lands for Takahashi. That snapped Steel's head back.
Takahashi throws a leg kick which misses Steel's front leg but catches the back leg as Steel tries to avoid it.

Takahashi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A bone on bone clash there as Steel blocks the leg kick.
Steel's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Takahashi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Steel throws a push kick but Takahashi slaps the foot to one side.
Takahashi appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Takahashi walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Steel checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Takahashi lands a nice shot to the body.
A combination from Steel does no damage.
A head kick misses from Takahashi.

Good leg kick by Takahashi there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Steel in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Freddy Steel's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Takahashi tries to land a leg kick but Steel saw it coming and moves away.

Takahashi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Steel. That did some damage!

Takahashi is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Steel can do to turn this around?

Steel tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Takahashi turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Steel with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Takahashi to score with a decent uppercut.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Freddy Steel's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
