PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Wooten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Artist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wooten comes to the cage accompanied by Judas Priest- You've got another thing coming. Artist has chosen Limp Bizkit / Break Stuff as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Wooten. No joy for Artist on that attempt.
Wooten misses with a few strikes there.
Wooten tries to bum rush Artist with a series of wild strikes but Artist uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Artist avoids a punch combination nicely.
Artist has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Wooten is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Wooten throws a front kick aimed at Artist's knee but Artist avoids it well.
Artist misses with a takedown attempt - Wooten sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

A close round but The Artist will probably get the nod.

Artist shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wooten but Wooten pushes him off and we're back to square one.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Artist goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Wooten has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Artist but great work by Wooten.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Artist is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Wooten pulls his head out easily.

Wooten looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Artist with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Artist accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

I would just about give that final round to The Artist.
