Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hans Mentagawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicolas Walters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Nicolas Walters was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walters misses with a takedown attempt - Mentagawa sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Mentagawa throws a quick counter head kick but Walters was just out of range.
Walters moves into the clinch.
Mentagawa drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Walters gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Mentagawa is looking to break free of the clinch but Walters has double underhooks.
Walters is looking to control Mentagawa's arms but Mentagawa gets an underhook and turns him. Now Walters has his back to the ropes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mentagawa has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Walters is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Walters has Mentagawa pressed up against the ropes. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Walters pulls back from the ropes and twists to the side, sending Mentagawa tumbling to the mat - Walters dives into Mentagawa's guard.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Walters is posturing up here but Mentagawa has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Walters tries to roll out but it's too tight and Walters has to tap! Slick submission there by Mentagawa!
