The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas throws a right and a left that both miss.
Martinez pushes Thomas away with a front kick.
Martinez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Thomas moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Martinez enables Thomas to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Martinez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
