Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nobero Shimasaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darby Gordon!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Shimasaki does no damage.
Gordon is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Shimasaki.
Gordon lands a nice looking kick to the body. Shimasaki takes a step back to recover.
Shimasaki throws a leg kick
and Gordon counters with a nice low kick that buckles Shimasaki's knee momentarily.
An inside leg kick from Gordon misses.
Gordon scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Shimasaki doesn't seem bothered though.
Shimasaki uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gordon.
A jab from Shimasaki finds it's way through Gordon's defenses.
Gordon scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Shimasaki misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Shimasaki checks the leg kick nicely there.
Gordon throws a leg kick but Shimasaki sees it coming and moves out of range.

Shimasaki tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Gordon takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Gordon throws a low kick but it's checked well by Shimasaki.

Gordon thows a left - swing and a miss!
Gordon lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Gordon thuds his right hand into Shimasaki's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Shimasaki feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Shimasaki has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gordon lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Shimasaki rushes Gordon and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Gordon works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Shimasaki with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Gordon pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Shimasaki is trying to pull guard but Gordon turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Gordon creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Gordon.
Shimasaki blocks an uppercut.
Gordon struggles to land a body shot inside as Shimasaki controls his hands.

Gordon manages to break the clinch.
Gordon throws a big shot that misses.
Shimasaki takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Shimasaki is rocked!
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Gordon engages and cracks Shimasaki with a massive lead left hook - Shimasaki tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Gordon is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
