Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Marcello Sosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kristina Harebell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marcello Sosa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kristina Harebell!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sosa throws a combination. Harebell tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Sosa lands a jab-cross combination.
Harebell tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Sosa defends well and Harebell ends up having to push Sosa into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Sosa moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Harebell takes one to the side of the head.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Harebell takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sosa misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sosa stuffs the takedown attempt from Harebell. Harebell gets slowly back to his feet.
Harebell looks winded!
Sosa scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Harebell doesn't seem bothered though.
Harebell takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Harebell looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Harebell shoots in but Sosa avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Marcello Sosa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kristina Harebell.
Sosa works the jab nicely.
Sosa looks to land a combination. Harebell sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Sosa takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Sosa connects with a single shot there.
Sosa lands with an uppercut that bounces Harebell off the cage and back into range.
Marcello Sosa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sosa lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Harebell circles away quickly and effectively.
Harebell is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Sosa throws a combination. Harebell tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Sosa scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Sosa!
Sosa connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Sosa is working the combinations to good effect here.
Sosa lands a nice looking body shot.

Harebell is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sosa's half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Harebell is working for a submission of some sort.

Harebell is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sosa is just riding it out for now. Harebell eventually gives up the hold.

Sosa wants to improve his position but Harebell is controlling well.

Harebell tries to pass to full mount but Sosa defends it.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sosa tries to roll over but Harebell keeps him under control.

Harebell is trying to control the action in half guard but Sosa is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Sosa wants to control but Harebell is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Harebell content to control rather than advance.
Harebell prevents Sosa from improving his position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Sosa is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Harebell doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Sosa connects with a body shot that sends Harebell's belly button to the back.
Harebell tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sosa sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Harebell somewhat.
Sosa is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Sosa scores with a sloppy right hand. Harebell should have avoided that one.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Sosa!
Sosa connects with a body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sosa moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Sosa scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Sosa lands a nice hook to Harebell's body. Harebell takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Sosa looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Sosa catches Harebell with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Harebell fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sosa sprawls well initially but Harebell persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Sosa is looking to improve his position.
Sosa trying to control but Harebell postures up.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sosa is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Harebell is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marcello Sosa dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Harebell moves forwards but Sosa connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Sosa throws a good cross that connects.
Marcello Sosa is winning the standup battle so far.
Harebell closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sosa circles away.
Harebell walks into a stiff left hand from Sosa.
Sosa lands with a straight right. Harebell didn't see that one coming.
Sosa stalks Harebell and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Harebell's face. Harebell staggers backwards, shaken.
Harebell takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Sosa looks to land a combination but Harebell avoids it well.
Sosa lands a body shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sosa enables Harebell to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sosa manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Sosa controls Harebell momentarily but Harebell frees himself.
Sosa is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Harebell can do to turn this around?
Sosa is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Harebell seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Sosa has momentary wrist control but Harebell slips an elbow through the middle.

Sosa wants to sweep but no luck.
Sosa is trying to keep Harebell in close.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Harebell's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Harebell thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Sosa is trying to control the position but Harebell postures up.

Sosa is looking for a triangle but Harebell pushes his legs off easily.

Sosa throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Harebell tries to counter with a clinch but Sosa shakes him off and moves away.
Marcello Sosa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Sosa lands a right hook to the body.
Harebell takes one on the button.
Sosa connects with a looping right hand.
Sosa lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Harebell takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Harebell has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Sosa cracks Harebell with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Danga de danga de dang - Sosa scores with a four punch combination!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Harebell closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Harebell has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Sosa is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Harebell yanks on the arm and Sosa is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Harebell.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Kristina Harebell!
Kristina Harebell decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
