Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Amber Ale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Alonso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thiago Alonso has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Amber Ale!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thiago Alonso!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ale with a poor takedown
and Alonso counters with a one-two to the body.
Alonso cracks Ale with an open hand slap.

Ale is rocked!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Ale.
Oh Ale is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ale wants to clinch but Alonso slips to the side
and Alonso cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ale throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Alonso's waist but Alonso gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ale off to one side.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Alonso! But no joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Amber Ale. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ale wants to clinch.
Alonso comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Ale shoots and misses
and Alonso counters with a nice uppercut.
Alonso keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
A jab from Alonso does it's job there.

Alonso slaps away a takedown attempt from Ale, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Alonso has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Ale misses with a takedown attempt - Alonso sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Alonso counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Alonso counters with a huge left! Ale is in big trouble! He's backing up but Alonso isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Ale from any more damage. A dominating finish by Alonso!
