The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Junior swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Junior scores with a jab to the head.
A shot to the body from Junior misses
and Koistinen makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Junior throws a right hand that Koistinen ducks under and follows up with a left that Koistinen also avoids with ease.
Koistinen jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Koistinen's corner calls for a 1-2. Koistinen obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Koistinen thumps Junior with a low kick.
Koistinen ducks right into an uppercut from Junior.

Koistinen tries a low kick but Junior avoids it.
Junior went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Junior moves out of range as Koistinen strikes.
Junior will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

No joy there for Junior, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Junior throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

It looks like Manny Pac Junior has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Koistinen is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Junior is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Oh Junior is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Koistinen in side control, throwing shots but Junior defends.
Koistinen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Junior keeps working.
Junior tries to improve position but can't.

Koistinen advances to full mount.
Junior seems to have got his legs back now.
Koistinen throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Koistinen thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Junior takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Koistinen's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

After the fight, Kristus Koistinen was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
