The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chandler throws a right and a left that both miss.
Watson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Chandler scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Chandler creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Watson sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Chandler thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Watson tries to bench press Chandler off him but Chandler keeps the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chandler might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Watson haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Chandler has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Chandler moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Chandler shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Watson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Chandler wants to lay and pray for a moment but Watson keeps working.

Watson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Chandler seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Watson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

It looks like Abel Watson has been cut.

Chandler moves into the clinch successfully.
Oh Watson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Chandler manages to break the clinch.

Chandler shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Watson is on queer street and Chandler is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
