Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chad Griggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Bradman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chad Griggs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Don Bradman!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bradman moves out of range of the strikes.

Griggs fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bradman to the ground. Griggs is now in Bradman's guard.

Griggs won't allow Bradman to sweep him here.
Griggs throws a strike but Bradman rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Bradman must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bradman throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Griggs throws an elbow that misses. Bradman uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Griggs's guard. Nice move by Bradman!

Griggs is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Griggs is looking to take a break and control but Bradman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Griggs seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bradman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've been hearing good reports from Griggs's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

enabling Griggs to counter with a crisp jab.

and Griggs counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Griggs is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bradman can do to turn this around?

A nice side step and Bradman releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Bradman shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Bradman fails to land with a series of punches.
Chad Griggs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bradman avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Griggs looks to land a left hand but Bradman moved out of range nicely.
Griggs takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Bradman is looking to regain half guard here but Griggs keeps moving and retains side control.
Griggs throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Bradman works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Griggs lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Bradman! Griggs sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Bradman and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
