Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dionysus Zephyros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cristoff Melkovick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zephyros gets a clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Melkovick is looking to break free of the clinch but Zephyros has double underhooks.
Zephyros swings wildly with an uppercut but Melkovick uses good head movement to avoid it.
Melkovick tries to work over Zephyros's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Melkovick blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Melkovick has a couple of punches blocked by Zephyros.
Zephyros swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Zephyros throws a head punch that misses.
A shot in the inside from Zephyros.
Zephyros misses with a short punch on the inside.
Zephyros lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Melkovick lands a nice uppercut.
Zephyros lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Melkovick backwards.
Zephyros swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Melkovick has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Zephyros is trying to keep an underhook but Melkovick manages to get the takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Zephyros has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Melkovick cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Melkovick has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Melkovick can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Zephyros is looking to escape.

Melkovick is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Melkovick is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Zephyros can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
