Elwood comes to the cage accompanied by Ice Cube - Why We Thugs. Couture has chosen Mama said knock you out as his entrance music. Brandon Couture has the better chin. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Couture staying out of range there.
Couture steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Elwood.
Elwood lands a nice hook to Couture's body. Couture takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
A combination from Elwood does no damage.
Elwood swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Elwood ducks under a wild hook from Couture.
Couture digs a good body shot into Elwood's ribs.
Couture steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Elwood.
Nice defenses there by Elwood.
Elwood misses with a jab, cross combination.
Couture looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Elwood moves out of range as Couture strikes.
Elwood tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Elwood lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Couture circles away quickly and effectively.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Couture! But no joy.
Couture scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Elwood tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Couture manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Couture misses with a looping right.
Elwood fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Elwood lands with a thumping leg kick.
Couture walks into a straight right hand from Elwood.
Elwood scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Couture doesn't seem bothered though.

Couture throws a lazy right hand but Elwood sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Elwood lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Elwood pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Couture lands a big right hand that sends Elwood crashing to the mat! Couture stays standing though and waves Elwood back to his feet!

Couture lands a brutal uppercut that launches Elwood off his feet! Elwood tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
