Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dao Sonnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Eggman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dao Sonnen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eggman wants to clinch.
A jab from Sonnen misses.
Sonnen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Eggman manages to avoid it.
Eggman scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like Dao Sonnen has been cut.
Eggman has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Eggman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Eggman bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

The fighters circle momentarily. Eggman darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Dan Eggman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sonnen makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sonnen.

Eggman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sonnen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Eggman has managed to get both his arms back between Sonnen's legs - danger averted.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Sonnen is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Eggman's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Well Eggman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
