The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Dawson.
Buchecha throws a low kick but Dawson moves out of range easily.
Buchecha tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dawson swivels and escapes.
Dawson connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Buchecha has his takedown stuffed
and Dawson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Dawson blocks a jab.
Buchecha missing with a left hand there. Dawson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Dawson throws a series of punches but Buchecha avoids them all with ease.
Buchecha is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Buchecha misses with a takedown attempt - Dawson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Luke Dawson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Buchecha.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dawson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Buchecha.
As Buchecha tries to get set, Dawson tries to push him back and clinch up but Buchecha manages to avoid the attempt.
Dawson throws out a powerful jab.
Buchecha shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Dawson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Dawson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Dawson seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Buchecha goes for a double leg but Dawson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Dawson continues to drive forward.
Dawson is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Buchecha.
Buchecha on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Buchecha throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dawson tries to counter by clinching up but Buchecha breaks away and moves out of range.
Buchecha fails in his attempt to clinch.
Dawson swats away the attempt to clinch by Buchecha.
Dawson was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Dawson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Buchecha looks winded!

Dawson cracks Buchecha with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Buchecha looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Dawson finish him?

It looks like Marcus Buchecha has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Buchecha takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Buchecha has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
BOOM! Dawson lands a beautiful left hook that drops Buchecha. Buchecha tries to recover but Dawson is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Buchecha lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
