The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dawson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Dawson throws a body shot but no joy.
Axiom with a nice cross.

It looks like Luke Dawson has been cut.
Axiom misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dawson.
Dawson connects with a body shot that sends Axiom's belly button to the back.
Dawson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A looping hook to the body misses from Axiom. Dawson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Axiom scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Axiom has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Hut - $50 in the buildup to the fight.
Dawson loads up on a big right hand but Axiom slips the punch.
A little feinted left hand from Axiom on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Axiom misses with a straight left.
Axiom thows a left - swing and a miss!
A head kick misses from Dawson.
Axiom tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dawson was well out of range. Poor timing from Axiom.
Dawson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Axiom uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dawson.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Axiom is breathing heavily.
Axiom throws a hook to the side of Dawson's head but Dawson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Axiom swings for the body but Dawson moves out of range.
Axiom jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A nice side step and Dawson releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Axiom misses with a wild body shot.
Dawson just misses with a punch to the body.
Dawson scores with a decent looking hook.
Axiom lands with a cross.
Dawson throws a shot from downtown. Axiom moves away and avoids it.
A jab from Dawson does it's job there.
Dawson thuds his right hand into Axiom's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Dawson throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Axiom counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Dawson has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Axiom slips a jab and a cross from Dawson.
Dawson misses with an uppercut
and Axiom counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dawson takes a swing at Axiom's ribcage but misses.

Dawson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Dawson lands a left and a right that send Axiom crashing to the mat, dazed. Dawson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Axiom is rocked!

It looks like Gunnar Axiom has been cut.
Dawson lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Axiom falls backwards - clearly groggy! Dawson dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
