Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Dirk Anderson and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Preuss tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wertviy paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Preuss fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Wertviy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Preuss as he avoids it easily.
Wertviy definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Preuss throws a head kick that Wertviy semi-blocks.
Wertviy avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Preuss stuffs the takedown.
Preuss looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Preuss tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Wertviy manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Wertviy shoots for a takedown but Preuss saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sal Wertviy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Preuss.
Preuss tries to clinch there but Wertviy circles away.
Preuss instigates a clinch.
Wertviy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Wertviy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Wertviy closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wertviy is looking for a kimura but Preuss is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Wertviy to get the leverage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Wertviy moves into full mount! Preuss won't be happy about that!
Wertviy prevents Preuss from getting the reversal.
Preuss is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Wertviy locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Preuss is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Sal Wertviy!
