Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ska Asap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taisto Anttila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Ska Asap!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Taisto Anttila!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asap shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Anttila decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Asap's guard.
Asap is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

A lull in the action here as Anttila stalls from top position.
Asap tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Anttila wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Anttila tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Anttila has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Anttila wants to lay and pray for a moment but Asap keeps working.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Anttila bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Asap throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Anttila's waist but Anttila gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Asap off to one side.

Taisto Anttila is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Anttila has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
